Today is St. Brigid’s Day, which according to Irish mythology marks the arrival of longer, warmer days and an early welcome to spring. This Celtic saint is thought to help bring people out of the darkness of winter and into the spring light – a particularly hopeful message during these challenging times of social isolation due to COVID-19. There is also perhaps no better time to turn up the music in our lives. With that in mind, Loreena is releasing nine new sheet music arrangements, eight from her latest album Lost Souls and one from her 2010 release The Wind That Shakes The Barley. (see below)
“In troubling times like these I truly believe that music can help lift the spirit and perhaps even alleviate some of our anxiety,” says Loreena. “At the very least, even if it just injects a bit of fun into our lives it’s worth holding on to.” We’ve now replaced our former snail mail order system with a new, fully-automated Loreena McKennitt Sheet Music Store. There, you’ll be able to purchase and download the newly-released PDF sheet music, as well as any scores previously offered, and then print them off at home. It’s as simple as print, read and play, or read the PDFs from a tablet. If you do not have a home printer, you may order by phone at 1-800-361-7959 or by email at postmaster@quinlanroad.com.
We think you’ll find the sheet music suitable for a wide range of instruments. (See an example here.) |
