ILÉA is a French singer and songwriter lover of folk and Celtic music. She was born under a sign of fire, in the land of volcanoes where the energy of the Celts is omnipresent and perceptible. She sings, writes and composes with her head in the clouds, her feet firmly attached to her land of Arverne. For ILÉA, her region has nothing to envy to the land of heart, Brittany, and it proudly claims the deep ties it has always forged with this culture that inspires it.

It is through her voice, and more particularly in her intonations, accent and melodies, that she best expresses her belonging to the Celtic roots. From these echoes come resonances that sometimes act as a care for those who let themselves be captivated by its magic. A voice therefore but also a pen that, beyond words, touches her soul.

With a mysterious and charismatic personality, ILÉA has the art and the way to transcend reality. It is not uncommon to see fairies dancing in the moonlight as she portrays the human madness of our chaotic world. Beyond appearances, the singularity of ILEA permeates into her music where she is not infatuated with any code, mixing genres, transposing epochs and mixing sounds to infinity.

Like a "peaceful warrior", ILÉA is more determined than ever to defend, through her songs, Nature and the Sacred.

She has an expressive an crystalline voice, almost a perfect blend reminiscent of Sinead O'Connor and Dolores O'Riordan. Takes her inspiration from artists like Enya, Sinead O'Connor, Loreena Mc Kennitt, Björk, Ionalee, Fever Ray ... mixed with her own poetry and imagination.

On the significance of her stage name explains, "ILÉA means" Island of Another Place "... is my world, my imagination, my uncharted places. " Her strength is a reflect of her striking personality, her own world, and specially her amazing voice.

"For me, what best illustrates the cyclical nature of life and our Earth is the wheel of the year, which comes from ancient Celtic traditions. In my calendar, everything is created around the eight sacred festivals, based on the movements of the stars and the seasons following the equinoxes and the solstices."

DISCOGRAPHY

ILÉA releases its 1st EP "Les Contrées Sauvages" with celtics influences in the Malicorne lineage then follows the album "Ici & Là" recorded partly in Brittany with musicians of Alan Stivell and Cécile Corbel. ILÉA then produces 2 singles in download version "People" and "Woman-Nature" from the EP "Ainsi va le Monde" with Electro Sounds.
