Harp & Chat: Interview with RIKA - Part Two

As a follow-up to my previous interview with RIKA, "Part One" I'm excited to provide some additional insights into her.

Celtic Sprite: I knew you and heard about your music while browsing at Instagram, and discovered you have recently released a solo album including instrumental harp music ...are you playing the album live too?.

ULRIKA: In December, I released my CD "Hidden Fractals" on Bandcamp.I would love to play it in solo concerts, and I did a few times last year. However, concerts are not permitted during the pandemic.I hope the situation will get better soon.

Celtic Sprite: I have noticed you got over 1000 subscribers on Instagram, how long have you been active on Social Media?

ULRIKA: I started my Instagram account for fun in 2017. I mostly posted nature themed photography at first. It then evolved over time and became my musician account in the last 2 years.

Celtic Sprite: Do you feel yourself more connected to sacred woods and groves, or to the ocean and the sea?

ULRIKA: I think it is a bit of both. The woods feel like home and connect me to myself. The ocean makes me feel like I am just a tiny part of the whole universe and that life isn't that hard, as it often seems to me. And that is exactly what I need from time to time.

Celtic Sprite: Probably your fans would like to know why you chose "RIKA" as your pseudonym. Is this because of your first name Ulrike?.

ULRIKA: It's a nickname. My family has always called me "Rike" (from Ulrike). My nephew is half Spanish and when he started talking, instead of "Rike", he called me "Rica", which means delicious or cute in Spanish. He and my sister kept it that way. That's how it became my stage name.

Celtic Sprite: Any regent Moon Goddess in your spiritual life?... (Mine is Rhiannon on her many aspects)

ULRIKA: No regent moon goddesses, but I love to celebrate the annual Celtic festivals with my own little rituals. It totally calms me down from everyday life and connects me with my spiritual life.

Celtic Sprite: You recently launched a new album "Hidden Fractals", (a nice and intimate conceptual EP), is it in your plans to record a second solo album?

ULRIKA: I'm planning a new full album where I record my own tunes and also some folk tunes with other musician friends. Probably for next year though. Another album with JOSEH is planned for this year.

Celtic Sprite: I appreciate your willingness to share this brief interview with us; I am confident that our readers will be looking forward to hearing about your upcoming projects, and I, for one, am looking forward to doing more interviews with you as well!

RIKA: Thank you so much for featuring me on your blog, it was a great pleasure. And, as a reminder to all Celtic Sprite blog readers, please contact me at my Official Website if you have any queries or need to book any of my concerts. Thank you very much, and keep up the fantastic work!.
